About us
The Humble Pour is a community-focused self-pour beer garden located at 128 Williamsboro Street in the heart of downtown Oxford, North Carolina. It offers a relaxed atmosphere for locals and visitors alike to gather, socialize, and enjoy a wide selection of unique brews, wines, and cocktails.
The Humble Pour is the brainchild of local residents James McDaniel (a veterinarian) and Bryan Cohn (a city commissioner). As neighbors, they recognized a distinct lack of a walkable, local beer garden in town. Their vision was to create an easygoing gathering spot within walking distance of both their homes and the downtown area.
The project began when McDaniel's Desert Fox Properties LLC acquired the former Sunrise Biscuit Company location in August 2022 and fully renovated the space. The concept was refined over time, leveraging the town's social district adoption to create a unique community hub.
